Maria turned her life-long obsession with all-things design and decor into a dream career when she began a digital editorial internship with HGTV in 2016. The end of her internship marked the beginning of a successful freelance writing career with weekly contributions to top lifestyle media brands including:

She created a monthly design x astrology column and spearheaded a weekly, decor shopping article for HGTV.com called Room of the Week. One of her most exciting contributions to HGTV.com is an in-depth photo gallery that showcased her wedding to husband, Joey, on June 2, 2018.

Her works have been showcased on the home page of HGTV.com and diynetwork.com, on the official HGTV Facebook page with 9.3 million followers and the HGTV Instagram account with 3.8 million followers.
